Isinusulong sa Malaysia na latiguhin at paluin ng baston ang lahat ng estudyanteng matigas ang ulo.
Ang mugkahing ito ay nagmula mismo sa mga Education Officials na madalas sumasakit ang ulo dahil sa mga batang sangkot sa bandalismo at paninigarilyo.
Kamakailan ay pinayagan na ang paglatigo sa mga estudyanteng lalaki - at ngayon naman ay nais nilang ipatupad na rin ito sa mga kababaihan bilang parusa sa seryosong paglabag sa patakaran ng paaralan. UNTvweb.com

This is how savage and sick some cultures in Asia can Evolve. The Philippines maybe backward but in terms of punishment these people are showing their jurassic colors. Their tradition of Latigo and Bastonero displays their poverty of modern traditional methods in control and discipline of their youth. Before they envision this remedy they should do research on the personality of these young people being subjected to these degrading punishment. They may all come out to be wife beaters and child molesters in the future…Those who are suggesting this should first try it on themselves and their own children and see how it would change their behavior. This is savage, brutal and unusual punishment.
